Mash Swap Shop — Terms & Conditions

Event date: Saturday 12 September, 11am–2pm Location: Mash, 99 Market Jew Street, Penzance TR18 2LE Donation deadline: On or before Wednesday 9 September

1. Donations

•  Items must be clean and non-damaged. No stains, tears, broken zips/buttons, or strong odours.
•  Donations must be dropped off in-store on or before Wednesday 9 September. Items donated after this date, or on the day itself, cannot be guaranteed a place on the rail.
•  All donations are assessed by the Mash team before the event. We reserve the right to decline any item that isn't suitable for display, without needing to give a detailed explanation. Where possible, we'll let you know if something hasn't made the cut.
•  Items that aren't accepted for the swap rail may, at Mash's discretion, be donated to a local charity rather than returned. Please only donate what you're happy to part with.
•  Maximum amount donatable for this swap is 6 items.

2. How the exchange works

•  For every 2 accepted items you donate, you'll receive 1 swap token.
•  Tokens are issued on the day of the swap (in-store, 12 September). With tickets being given upon donation to confirm involvement in the Swap Shop.
•  On the day, each token entitles you to choose 1 item from the swap rail. Tokens are non-transferable and have no cash value.
•  Tokens must be used on 12 September, they cannot be carried over to a future swap.
•  Swaps are made on a first-come, first-served basis once doors open. We can't reserve or hold specific items in advance.

3. On the day

•  The event runs from 11am–2pm. Please arrive with your ticket and/or any ID/reference given at drop-off.
•  We recommend arriving early for the best choice, as stock is limited to what's been donated.
•  One swap per token, items can't be tried on and exchanged for a different item once chosen, so please choose carefully.
•  Mash staff have final say on the day regarding fit, condition, and stock disputes.

4. Unclaimed and leftover stock

•  Any items remaining on the rail at the end of the event will be donated to a local charity, unless otherwise stated on the day.
•  Donated items not claimed via token within the event are not eligible for refund, return, or cash equivalent.

5. General

•  This is a goodwill, not-for-profit community event. Mash makes no guarantee of a like-for-like value exchange between donated and chosen items.
•  Mash accepts no responsibility for loss, damage, or theft of items brought to or taken from the event.
•  Mash reserves the right to amend these terms, or the running of the event, at any time.
•  By donating or taking part, you agree to these terms.
